This project explores the design and fabrication of a deployable bamboo canopy, evolving from a pulley-based system to a simplified hinge mechanism for improved constructability and control. Through iterative prototyping, digital simulation, and material testing, the structure was refined to balance movement, stability, and material efficiency. The final installation (1:1 scale) demonstrates a collapsible, wind-resistant canopy that can be manually deployed, translating mechanical logic into a full-scale outdoor structure.
